Welcome to subaerial, the personal website of Dan Emmons! The American Heritage dictionary defines "subaerial" as "located or occurring on or near the surface of the earth". The name recognizes that we are below the air, aka, below heaven, aka, merely mortal. It's a reminder to maintain humility, and, I think, a cool name for a website.
